HELLO!  🤩  Welcome...

HAVE A SEAT &
        STAY A WHILE!

We have other projects on the backburner that'll emerge once we have the main Continuity and characters fully established. More on FlashFreeze, RazorBlade Rainbow, Rumble Gumm, Trubble!, Ruination, Afterglow, Evolution Dollz, BeQuest, and Dimmed Wills projects as they develop...

Another ALT+SHIFT+NERD title, Lost Genesis, is a limited series that's more of a sketch and art gallery, auto-biographical kind of series with a variety of comix, that offers suggestions and insights from an artist on his journey. This is a

behind-the-scenes look at an artist's successes and mistakes, with a peek into his creative process in relation to his life. The only connection to any of the comic stories in Lost Genesis, is that this book details the inspirations of their creation and development to aid or inspire other artists in their journeys.

ALT+SHIFT+NERD is a Media Promotional Company focusing on independent Comix, primarily our own Self-Published Titles and Merchandise.

Within the pages of our comic series, Handheld, there are several stories offered. Some of these stories are part of one overall continuity known as the Groovy Toons! Continuity.
This includes stores and series such as the Flagship series,
Breaking Fourth: HellzGurl in the Modern World, as well as
Oopsie Daisy!, the "Hatter" series, Homonkeylus Heroic, SpoILLed, along with some other series yet to be announced.
Those properties are a bit more cartoony in nature, though does have some grounded and realistic elements mixed in.

HOW DOES HANDHELD comic Book Series Work?

OopsieDazey-DesignMain01.png

Our Flagship Title, HANDHELD, is home to all of our comic book characters and their stories. When you purchase and read HandHeld, you get multiple stories, often times of several characters, unless it's necessary to feature one long story or multiple stories revolving around one specific character (such as with HandHeld #1, to introduce and firmly establish a primary character). This way, if readers aren't partial to one character and their story in that individual issue, they may like one of the others. Also, we've found it to be a greater value to offer several stories in one book, to keep quality high, offer more of a reading experience (that's a good balance of Binge-reading and reading a single, "floppy" issue), maintain quality of the book while keeping the price more than reasonable and affordable for anyone.

Once enough material from one character's story has been told in HandHeld, that content will be collected in its own, separate book. The idea is to take what works in each, the Eastern Published Comic Book Market and the Western Comic Market, to forge a new "Hybrid" path. Imagine if there was one Spider-Man story, one X-Men story, and one Avengers story in one comic book. That could help with the problem of having so many individual "floppy" issues on the market by having one book with several stories at a more affordable cost for companies to produce, as well as for readers to buy. It's less of a commitment and risk for readers, while funneling more readers to one book. This can also aid with the pacing of stories for creative teams, meaning that more stories can be planned over time for better quality, while also giving writers and artists more time for quality work instead of having to rush things out. Plus, with that, a "buffer" will naturally form, so that if an artist is late, it won't impact the overall pacing of release and structure of the stories within each of these larger issues. Another benefit will lessen "Event Fatigue", which has been a problem since shortly after the original "Secret Wars" cross-over. Marvel tends to have too many big events with too many tie-in comics, to a point that they have released MORE comics for readers to buy that simply explains what books to read in what order per major story event!

So, HANDHELD is a little experiment being offered to comix readers to explore what a "Hybrid" comics model of Eastern and Western production might look like and offer, in a practical sense, over an extended period of time. Yes, there are many, many, many western comic book readers out there that prefer the single "floppy" issue to Trade Paper Backs or Collected editions; there are a similar amount of individuals who prefer larger volumes of work over the "floppy" singles. Hence, HandHeld being a steady 60 page book that's a good middle-ground between larger volumes and single "floppy" formats...

All that said, give an experimental indie publisher a chance, and check out HANDHELD #1! Now available in print (digital to arrive with the emergence of 2026). That will help support the studio, its artists, and contribute to an experiment that can inform the future of comic book production...
